OUR HISTORY:
Thanks to the co-financing agreement signed between the Information Processing Center - the National Research Institute and NCBJ, the creation of a modern research infrastructure in the field of searching for new radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostics and therapy based on biologically active ligands operating at the cellular and molecular level becomes a reality.
Institute of Atomic Energy POLATOM The Radioisotope Center is incorporated, along with the entire IEA POLATOM, into the Institute for Nuclear Studies. The combined institutes take the new name: National Center for Nuclear Research
As part of the new entity, the current activity is continued under the name National Center for Nuclear Research Center for Radioisotopes POLATOM
Change of the current name to the POLATOM Radioisotope Center at the Institute of Atomic Energy
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Economy, the POLATOM Isotope Research and Development Center is incorporated into the Institute of Atomic Energy in Świerk
Separation of the production and commercial activity from the Isotope Research and Development Center POLATOM in the form of a commercial company: POLATOM Sp. z o.o.
On February 24, 1995, the EWA reactor is shut down, its decommissioning begins two years later, and is completed in 2002

The Isotope Distribution Department is transformed into the Isotope Distribution Office operating at the Department of Radioactive Isotope Technology

On June 14, 1958 the "EWA" reactor was launched
Establishment of the Isotope Distribution Department

Commencement of the construction of the "EWA" reactor
The Nuclear Research Institute was established on June 4, 1955, by virtue of a resolution of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the People's Republic of Poland. Initially, NRI is subordinated to the Polish Academy of Sciences, and a year later it becomes the departmental institute of the Government Plenipotentiary for the Use of Nuclear Energy. The organizer and the first director of the Institute is prof. dr. Andrzej Sołtan
